Even if you’re the world’s richest person, you probably won’t be able to own a Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.
That’s because only one example of the Bugatti Chiron-based concept car exists, and it’s already owned by someone who is ridiculously wealthy.
Can’t buy it? Well, why not build it yourself? That’s the approach taken by Chinese mechanic Jack Lee with this impressive Bugatti replica build.

A mechanic’s lifelong dream
Though Jack Lee and his team typically dedicate their time to repairing heavy trucks, the business has likely been quiet over the last few months due to COVID-19.
As such, Lee and his team set out to realize a lifelong dream, which was to build their very own Bugatti.
“When I was a kid, I had a dream to build a Bugatti sports car, [sic],” explained Lee in the description of one of his YouTube videos. “It’s time to realize our dream. How do we make a Bugatti sports car?”
Lee presents the answer to that question in three videos detailing the creation of his team’s Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo replica, which took approximately four months from beginning to end, The Drive reports.
Building the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo replica
The team started their construction with a simple metal spaceframe, powered with what looks like a Toyota UZ-series V8. While it’s not quite as impressive as the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo’s 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16, it still packs a punch.
Lee and his team even included handmade carbon fiber fittings for the car’s roof as part of their design. In one of his videos Lee explains that his perfectionism drove him to re-do bodywork if it didn’t look right once fitted: “we try to make it perfect. Some parts need to be dismantled and rebuilt again, [sic]” Lee explained. “It’s difficult work.”
While the end result isn’t likely to fool any car mechanics or enthusiasts, we’d wager that the impressive replica will still turn heads on the road. Have a look at Lee’s final build video below.
